This was the first time that I was hired locally to do a wedding. I have shot a few wedding before this. I have mostly done family or friends in the past. The last 2 weddings that I photographed were absolutely gorgeous. One wedding was at the beach and the other was at a gorgeous venue in Warner Robbins.
Gigi contacted me the previous week and ask if I had a week day slot open. She told me that she was getting married on the court house steps. I normally give referrals to wedding inquiries because they scare me to death. I though that a McDonough court house wedding didn’t sound to terrifying. I shoot often in the sounding McDonough square areas. I agreed to photographer her wedding. A few days later she let me know that they changed it to Heritage Park which was an awesome decision. Heritage Park is a great photography location. I shoot babies, family, maternity and High School seniors there all the time. Its just about 5 minutes from my house too which is a plus.
The wedding was short and sweet. The groom was shaking in his books. The bride was ready to say I do. The wedding took place under a 300 year old Oak Tree. After the wedding we took a walk to a bridge and a trail in the woods. We got some gorgeous shots of the married couple and some individual shots. They both were easy to photograph. I don’t think they had pictures of them done together in awhile so I am happy they now have some updated images of themselves. I hope to see this awesome couple again one day for a family session!
